This model kit recreates the state-of-the-art F-35C Lightning II in easy to manage and display 1/72 scale.
It inherits many of the detailed features first seen in our 1/48 scale release.
Thanks to extensive research on the full-size subject, the C variant of the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II model is poised to be the definitive model in 1/72 scale!
About the F-35C
The F-35C is a carrier-based variant designed for catapult-assisted take-off, barrier arrested recovery operations from aircraft carriers.
Compared to the F-35A, the F-35C features larger wings with foldable wing tip sections, larger control surfaces for improved low-speed control, stronger landing gear for the stresses of carrier arrested landings, a twin-wheel nose gear, and a stronger tailhook for use with carrier arrestor cables.
The larger wing area allows for decreased landing speed while increasing both range and payload.

• The F-35C has larger wings and horizontal stabilizers than other F-35 variants for slower aircraft carrier landings.
• Choose one of the two assembly options: extended or folded wingtips.
• Features newly molded parts to recreate the reinforced nose landing gear with dual tires and rigid main landing gear, and tires.
• Landing gear bay features realistic details such as ribs and pipes.
• Fine recreations of Radar Absorbent Material (RAM) are molded into fuselage surfaces.
• Features a realistic rendering of the lower fuselage gun pod. (The gun pod is not attached if using RCS enhancers.)
• Features realistic renderings of the following sections:
- Y- shaped air intake duct for highly advanced stealth characteristics
- Cockpit and landing gear bays Martin
- Baker US16E ejection seat Engine nozzle (1-piece)
- RCS (radar cross section) enhancers affixed to top during basic training exercises, but not in live action or more complex exercises.
