This is a Tamiya 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 plastic Model Kit.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6 variant is depicted in this precision model aircraft assembly kit. This model complements Tamiya's other variants, such as the E-3 and E-4/7 Trop.
In the hands of the Luftwaffe and other air forces, the Bf 109 is a legendary name in aviation. Over a third of all Bf 109s were G-6s, the most prolific model. This aircraft was introduced in early 1943, and could be equipped with 20mm cannons in pods beneath the wings, or synchronized 13mm machine guns in distinctive bulges ahead of the cockpit; its engine was the Daimler-Benz DB605A liquid-cooled V12, which gave it a top speed of 640km/h.

Multi-part recreation of the DB605A engine, richly detailed. With fine renderings of various auxiliary components, engine cowlings can be depicted open to show off beautiful renderings. Also, cowlings can be closed. The cowling and engine parts are attached via magnets so they can be exchanged after assembly.
It is possible to depict dual radiator flaps in wings in an up or down position, or a combination of the two.
A drop tank can be recreated using the included parts.
The canopy can be assembled open or closed.
